First want to shout out to today's managers, Wally, Mark Tutrani, and Robert Spitalari for stepping up to handle the management responsibilities.
Today's game was a closely fought battle between the second and third place teams. Team Wally scored early and often but never in large quantities as he only managed seven runs throughout the contest, Team Tutrani managed to score in six of the seven innings, and while enough to best Team Wally, they never came close to Team Spitalari. Team Spit put up five runs in three of the innings and added three more in another to build a comfortable lead and so they did not have to bat in the seventh. Three interesting facts about today's game were that in one inning all three outs were made by the fielder having to throw underhanded. Now for the espn highlight. Ron Fleming made two double plays playing midfield.,while throwing the ball underhanded. Who said these guys aren't good. Here is another first, King Richard (King ) as he now likes to be called went 3-3 and never hit the ball to right field. Every one was a line drive into left field.Final score Team Spit 19, Team Tutrani 9, and Team Wally 7.
