Tuesday 23 September Game

We had just enough players to field three teams today, and three good teams they were. I can only describe it as exciting. The first inning saw the hit and field teams score five runs while the sit team scored four. I should note that this was the fifth game in a row that Steve's team scored five in the first inning.The sit team, managed by Don Keller jumped to a substantial lead when they out scored both other teams by five runs in the second inning

The third inning saw the hitting team, led by Ron Pepin. take the lead when they tallied five runs. They managed to hold the lead going into the sixth inning. Team Keller scored five in the sixth to take a one run lead over Team Pepin. While all this was going on, Team Hill bats were relatively cold the rest of the way. They only managed to equal their first inning output.

So going into the last inning, Team Pepin sat at 16, Team Keller had 17, and Team Hill brought up the rear at 10. And that was the way the game ended as none of the three teams managed to score in the seventh. Final score Team Keller 17, Team Pepin 16, and Team Hill10.
