Friday Games

Before getting to today's game, there are a couple of administrative things to cover.

FIRST...NO GAMES TUESDAY.

Second, I need to address an omission from Tuesday's write up. I failed to recognize Donna's home run in the game. Congratulations Donna.

Fred DeLoach and his team took on Don Ouding's team on Field B. Both teams scored two runs in the first inning, The next five innings saw Team Ouding build an eleven-run lead. It was a different story in the seventh inning, as Team Deloach scored nine runs to significantly close the gap. They scored another five runs in the eighth inning to take the lead by one. They were unable to score in the open inning, so they went into the bottom of the ninth with a slim lead. Their luck did not hold, as the first batter for Team Outing  reached first base and Pablo burned the outfielders for the second time and ended the game with his walk off home run. Final score Team Ouding 22 and Team DeLoach 21.

It was a different kind of game on Field C. Wally's team faced off against JD's team and the game was very close the entire way and wasn't decided until the very last batter. It was nip and tuck all the way as there were 12 lead changes in the game. At he end of eight innings Team ally found themselves down by two runs. Wally led offf and started  what turned out to be a four run rally, That gave them a slim two run lead. JD needed two to tie and three to win, but only managed to put one run across. Final score Team Wally 23 and Team JD 22.
