It was a game of offensive fireworks, defensive stretches, and a late rally that made things interesting! The Tinsley Family, coached by Rounds, held off The Estates at Carpenter, coached by Tutrani, for a 20–17 victory.
Early Innings: Bats on Fire!
Both teams came out swinging. Tinsley Family opened with five runs in the first, and the Estates answered with two. The second inning brought more fireworks, as both teams plated five runs apiece.
Tinsley's offense was clicking, with Muniz, Sensabaugh, Rounds, Capozzi, and Doyle all collecting hits. The Estates countered with a string of extra-base hits, including doubles by Gutenberger, Cruz, Woodsby, and Sully.
Middle Innings: Defense Takes Over
Tinsley Family continued to add runs in the third and fourth innings, with Gil scoring in the third and Rabideau's triple helping bring home two runs in the fourth. The fifth inning was quiet, and the Estates' bats went cold, leaving them scoreless through the middle stretch.
Tinsley added three more runs in the sixth behind Williamson's double, Rusty's triple, and a string of singles. Both teams were held scoreless in the seventh.
Eighth Inning: The Estates Rally!
Tinsley wasn't finished, adding five runs on a barrage of hits, including doubles by Rusty, Rabideau, Doyle, and Stevens.
But the Estates had an answer! After four scoreless innings, the home team erupted for seven runs, stringing together singles from Ernesto, Turchetta, Lopez, and Gutenberger, capped by a double from Woodsby. Suddenly, the gap had narrowed, and the pressure was on!
Ninth Inning: Tinsley Seals the Win
Tinsley Family added three insurance runs as Rounds, Capozzi, Williamson, Rusty, and Rabideau delivered consecutive hits. The Estates managed a single from Tutrani and a walk by Ernesto but couldn't mount another rally.
Final Score: Tinsley Family 20, The Estates at Carpenter 17
Tinsley Family's steady offense proved just enough to withstand a determined late push by the Estates. That seven-run eighth inning made things interesting, but Tinsley held on to take the win!
Congratulations to Tinsley Family, and kudos to the Estates for never giving up!
