Before recapping the games I want to update everyone on Wayne Shearer who has been in the hospital. When I was there, he was notified that he would be discharged today and will continue to receive his treatment at home. If you want to reach out to him, his number is 863-604-8065. I know he would appreciate hearing from you.
The introduction of the aluminum bats had an immediate impact on both games. Balls were flying out of the park. It certainly returned the excitement to the game.
Having said that, it was the anemic bats that doomed Team Tutrani against Team Lopez. Behind by three runs after the first inning, they managed to take the lead in the fourth, albeit by one.It was all Team Lopez from there as they quickly built a ten run lead by the eighth inning. A lone run by Team Tutrani in the bottom of the inning prevented implementation of the flip flop rule. Guys flexing their muscles with over the fence smacks were Johnston (2), Rounds, DeLuca, Final score was Team Lopez 20 and Team Tutrani 11.

Team Keller faced off against Team Hite.in what turned out to be a very interesting game. There were never more than two runs separating the teams in any inning.. That fact, coupled with six lead changes made for quite the exciting game all the way to the end. Both teams scored in seven of the nine innings. It all came down to the last inning with Team Keller up by one run. Don Keller led off and scored the lone run in the top of the ninth to increase their lead to one run. Gil led off and scored for Bobby's team bringing them within one. Unfortunately, that was all she wrote. The game ended up Team Keller 13.and Team Hite 12.
