We had a three-team game today between the Yankees, Coconuts, and the Mets with a final score with a SAC of 6, 12, 17 in favor of the Mets.  The writer did not receive the score sheet from the Yankees so the review has only the highlights from the Coconuts and the Mets.

The Coconuts had Nester, Grabb, Josh and Frank go 2-3 and they scored 9 of the l2 runs.

The Mets had Knox going 4-4 and he scored 3 of the 6 runs scored by the first five batters in the batting order. Zelazny went 2-3 with a SAC. Also going 2-3 were Brock, Reed, Burns and Thompson all going 2-3.  Vandenburg went perfect at the plate with 3-3 and was the winning pitcher.  The first five batters for the Mets scored five runs and the sixth - eleventh batters scored 12 runs.

An interesting play had Dejongh- relaying a ball to Thompson catching who extended as far as he could to get the runner coming in to score. Thompson did a tuck and roll but did not tuck enough and hit his head solidly on the ground so the medics in the name of Don Witmer were called to give medical attention. Ron's wife said he looked like a Mummy but praised the medical staff for their skills!

It was another great day at the old ballpark.
