What a day on the dirt in Winter Haven — three teams, big bats, and another slugfest from first pitch to last out. Team Hill (Visitors/Hitting) came out firing and never took their foot off the gas, stacking up 24 runs. Team Ayers (Middle/Sitting) kept swinging and finished with 17, while Team Turchetta (Home/Field) battled hard and put up 13.
All three teams opened the game with five runs each, setting the tone for a high‑scoring afternoon.
Team Hill was relentless, scoring in every inning and getting production from top to bottom. Ernesto, switching over to bat left‑handed, drove in multiple runs and crossed the plate four times himself. Escobar added a triple and scored three times, keeping the pressure on all game long.
Team Turchetta made their push in the 4th, stringing together six runs to tighten things up. Rad chipped in with a triple and a double, giving the home squad some spark.
Team Ayers wasn’t done either — they rallied in the final inning for four runs, trying to close the gap. Fee crossed the plate three times and launched a ball so deep the splash in the pond looked like a mini‑tsunami. DeLoach had a perfect day at the plate, scoring four times, and Col Z added three more.
Another fun, competitive day of Winter Haven softball — big hits, big laughs, and plenty of dirt flying.
And... if any names are spelled incorrectly, don’t blame the girl — blame the score sheets. Some of that handwriting looks like decoding hieroglyphics. If you spot something off, just check your sheet — sometimes the penmanship can get creative.
