What a beautiful day to play softball. Augmented by American league players, we managed to field four teams 

On field A, JD Davis and his team took on Sam Lopez and his gang. JD's team took a five run lead in the first inning and never relinquished it, although Sammy's guys did manage to tie the score briefly in the third.The game remained close with no more than one run separating the teams in any one inning going into the last inning. JD's visiting team scored five runs in the open inning as they brought ten batters to the plate. Unfortunately Sammy's guys went three and out to end the game. Final score JD 20 and Sammy 14.

Team Wally squared off against Team Ouding on field B.Don's boys took an early 5-3 lead over Team Wally in the first inning. That was about it for Team Ouding as they only managed one run through six innings. They scored six runs in the seventh and eighth innings. That said, it was not enough, so we called for the flip flop rule to be used. Unfortunately for Don's guys, they went three and out. Final score: Team Wally 20, Team Ouding 12.
