Tuesday October 22, 2024

3 teams in the National League today managed by Don Ouding, Robert Spitaleri and Bob Zelazny.  Score was 6-9-11 in favor of The Zelazny team at the end of 3 innings as the Ouding team scored 6 in the top playing catch up early. His team only managed 3 more in the 5th inning for their final of 9.  So Robert and Bob Duked it out the rest of the way but Robert could never catch up and the Zelazny team won 21-19-9

Many hits were recorded which may explain why no errors were recorded and very few FCs. But here are the hitters.

Friday, October 18th

Sam Lopez and Robert Spitaleri were the managers today and Spitaleri team jumped out with 5 in the 1st inning and never looked back. Sam's team could not get any traction as the final score would indicate.  14-3. Two of those runs came on solo home runs by Juan Toro.

WINTER HAVEN POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION(PBA) NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO UMPIRE A KICKBALL TOURNAMENT ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2024.

Hey, the Winter Haven PBA is looking for volunteer umpires for a Kickball Tournament that is being held at the Diamondplex on Saturday, November 9th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A signup sheet will be available on Friday, October 19th at the sign in desk. Lou Guzman has volunteered to help the PBA and in turn would like to have as many volunteers as possible from Winter Haven Senior Softball to help him. If you have the time, please volunteer to help Lou and the PBA. 

Volunteers from WHSS will wear their Grey WHSS Shorts and Purple Shirts.

Friday, October 4th

It seems like forever since we played a ball game, and I hope and pray everyone got thru Milton ok. Here is the National League game played on Friday October 4th as there was also a mixed game on Field A. The managers were Spitaleri and Wally. Spitaleri team took charge right away and never trailed. The game was the first 9 inning game played in a long time and the score was 17-8 after 5 innings and ended with a final of 23-10.
