Sliding Rule Revisited

At the Board Meeting this week, the 'No Sliding Rule' was reconsidered and it was decided that sliding into base will be permitted provided that:

• The player realizes that there is some risk of injury involved in sliding.
• The player assumes said risk by choosing to slide.
• The player sliding is doing so to avoid a collision and not with intent to interfere with a defensive play.
