September 15, 2015 Board Meeting

A WHSS board meeting was held yesterday and everything is shaping up for the 2016 season. We will continue to have two new shirts and a new hat. The shirts will be the same color and style as last year. The decision on the hats will be made later this year. We currently have 70 paid registrations for 2016 and need everyone to submit their application as soon as possible. The makeup of the league is dependent on the number of players who sign up to be full time players. The registration fee is $40.00 with a $10.00 late fee after October 14, 2015.

The Polk County Senior Softball Hall of Fame committee had their meeting last week and set Wednesday, March 16th as the date of the banquet. The banquet will be in Lakeland at the Sandpiper Golf and Country Club. Now is time to think about nominating your fellow league members to the Hall of Fame. There will be more information given to everyone next month.

Christmas Day and New Years Day falls on Friday's and the board voted to not play ball of Christmas Day. We will play on New Years Day for anyone who wants to be there.

If you have not voted for your choice for the three members of the board of directors, please do so as soon as possible. Voting closes on September 30th. The ballot is on our website.
